NEW Beach Houses & Summer Nostalgia

My recent paintings are inspired by the nostalgia and warmth of Australian coastal living.
Created from memories of road trips, family holidays and time spent by the ocean, these works explore the simple beauty of beach houses scattered along the Australian coastline — from Coolangatta on the Gold Coast to the South Coast of NSW near Huskisson.
Each painting captures a quiet moment of summer: striped umbrellas, pastel weatherboards, salty air, tropical palms and the familiar feeling of arriving somewhere that instantly feels relaxed and comforting.

These pieces continue my love of painting places that hold emotion and memory — the kinds of environments that become part of our personal stories and shared experiences over time.
All works are original acrylic paintings on canvas, framed in natural pine and ready to hang.
I’ve also been exploring a more simplified and geometric direction within these coastal scenes, inspired by Mediterranean architecture, sunlight and shadow, while still holding onto the nostalgic Australian feeling that sits at the heart of my work. I sold four works at the Affordable Art Fair in Brisbane recently. The Byron Hinterland work above is available at a new gallery space in Manly called And Something Else.
Thank you so much for continuing to support my art and follow along with this evolving creative journey. I am working on some new collections soon... maybe a new direction!
