A Very Unexpected Sunday Surprise

Every artist dreams of seeing their work featured somewhere unexpected, but I certainly wasn't expecting to wake up to a text message from an old friend this morning with a photo of one of my beach shack paintings in Sunday Life Magazine!

To be completely honest, I had no idea it was going to be featured. At first, I thought my friend was joking. Then I looked a little closer and there it was — one of my beloved beach shacks sitting proudly on the page.

I immediately ran out to buy a copy for myself!

As an artist, there are so many hours spent quietly creating in the studio, often wondering where your work might end up and who it might connect with. Moments like this are such a lovely reminder that art can travel in unexpected ways and reach people you've never met.

My beach shack series has always held a special place in my heart. Inspired by Australia's iconic coastline, these paintings celebrate the simple joy of summer days, salty air, pastel skies and the nostalgic charm of beachside living.

A huge thank you to the team at Sunday Life for featuring my work. I'm not entirely sure how you discovered me or my little beach shacks, but I am incredibly grateful for the support and the surprise. It absolutely made my day.

And thank you to everyone who continues to support my art, whether you've purchased a print, shared my work with a friend, followed along on social media or simply taken the time to send a kind message. It means more than you know.
